| Seeing as this trip was entirely last minute and I knew absolutely nothing about Aruba prior to booking this holiday, I really lucked out here. This was brilliant! Close to the calmer beaches and far enough away from the high rise resorts as to not feel intimidated as a solo traveler- it was quiet and relaxing- everything I was hoping for! Thank you so much!!!Your place felt like a home away from home! :) |

Sunset Beach Studios was our home away from home for two weeks during the 2007 Christmas and New Year's season. We always look forward to returning to our little place in paradise. The laid back, easygoing atmosphere provides a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation opportunity. This property is attractive, clean, and expertly managed. The owners and staff always make us feel welcome and like part of the family.
We always enjoy meeting and making new friends during our stay at Sunset Beach Studios. It is easy to strike up a conversation around the pool, hot tub or under the big palapa.
We look forward to returning to Aruba and Sunset Beach Studios. |

| Since we discovered Sunset Apartments in 2003 we have returned each year. We find Sunset to be serene and relaxing. The owners and staff are accommodating, friendly and professional. The apartments are well maintained and clean. Sunset is within walking distance to the windsurf rental area at Fishermen’s Huts and the snorkel areas toward the lighthouse. Sunset Apartments provide a vantage point for watching the beautiful Aruba sunsets from the natural beach. Many of the guests we meet at Sunset are repeat visitors. We look forward to seeing them with each visit. Sunset Apartments makes the island of Aruba our vacation paradise. |

Fantastic place! I stayed here during the winter of 2007 with my mother and aunt, and loved it so much that I came back in the early spring with my husband. The location is perfect, the rates reasonable, the rooms spotless, and the staff are super-friendly and helpful. The flowering plants on the grounds are beautiful and you can watch the pelicans diving into the ocean for fish while eating breakfast on the patio.
The studio kitchens have absolutely everything. The huge beach towels are great and can be traded in for fresh ones each day. There is even a drying rack outside for swimwear. There is ample parking here and at all the beaches nearby. It is possible to walk, but it's easier just to jump in a car in bathing suits, wrapped in a towel, than to lug snorkel gear etc. around in the hot sun.
We loved the north of the island for its quieter beaches and great snorkeling. I find Palm Beach to be a complete zoo. It's nice to be nearby to pop in for a coffee or dinner, but I can't understand why anyone would want to spend their vacation in such a noisy, crowded area, when paradise is just a couple of minutes up the road.

We have spent a memorable time at the studio #8 (ocean view unit) from Sept. 16 through Sept. 24. The staff was wonderful and so warm. We felt like home.
The purpose of the trip was to relax, windsurf, and enjoy the charm of the island. Sunset studios are strategically located to enjoy beautiful unforgettable sunsets, midnight swim, snorkeling and sunbathing at Malmock, Boca Catalina and Arashi beaches. We spent lots of time at the Aruba Active Vacations' windsurf school (Fishermen's huts), which we highly recommend because they have wide range of equipment in top notch condition, staff/instructor is excellent. We loved this place because we were away from the high rise atmosphere. We strongly recommend the Sunset Studios to others and will definitely come back.
PS: althougth the windsurfing school is at walking distance from the Sundet Studios, a car is needed; a 4 wheel drive vehicle is necessary to visit the island.

We stayed at The Sunset Beach Studios for a week in August and we miss the place terribly. Not only is Aruba an enchanting island, but we absolutely believe that we chose the best place to stay while we were there. The staff was courteous, the grounds were kept immaculate, and we were even visited by a friendly iguana who sat on each of our laps to enjoy some romaine lettuce that we offered him.
This is the perfect place to stay if you do not like to be in the middle of large crowds and it only takes 10 minutes to drive to Orangestead. We came to Aruba to experience Aruba, not stay in an Americanized version of Aruba which you will find in the high rise district. We recommend renting a 4x4 to see the island in its entirety (which you can do in one day). Marjan will tell you the best places to snorkle and which activities to avoid (she was right). We will definitely stay at this location the next time we come. We loved our room that quickly became home and we miss Aruba sincerely. Thank you so much!!! |

Sunset Beach Studios is a great and wonderful piece of paradise. This was one of the best vacations ever and it was due to the hospitality of the wonderful owners (JP and Eve) and the very important member of their staff – MARJAN. Marjan was very patient and took care of your every request and question. Nora is the best housekeeper in Aruba! JP and Eve take care of their employees just like they take care of every detail to their individual studios. You were welcomed as a part of the Sunset Beach family and embraced with hospitality and safety. We stayed at the Boca Catalina Studios (Studio A). The Boca Catalina studio is an awesome location and gave you the feel of the true Aruba life. We were able to enjoy the beautiful private pool at the studios and the snorkeling at the famous Boca Catalina beach 1 minute away. If you enjoy your own kitchenette with all the amenities then this is the place for you! Every restaurant, car rental (Amigo) that was suggested by Marjan made our Aruba vacation a delight. JP and Eve have made Sunset Beach Studios a jewel in Aruba. Both locations are better than any high rise in Aruba because of the personal attention and the beautiful location. Our home away from home is at Sunset Beach Studios. No worries!
